Getting to Los Angeles by Air
Several airports serve the metropolitan Los Angeles area. Consider all airport options, especially if you are flying to LA within California, or adjoining states. Los Angeles area airports include:
LAX: The area's largest and the busiest airport is located on the coast, west of downtown. It's the area's best-known airport and the only option for international travellers. It is also served by the most airlines. However, size comes at a price, and LAX can be hectic, and lines long.
Long Beach (LGB): South of LAX, convenient for the city of Long Beach and the South Bay.
Burbank (BUR): Also known as Bob Hope Airport it is smaller and much easier to travel in and out of than LAX and convenient for travelling to Hollywood and Downtown LA.
Orange County (SNA): Your best option for visiting Disneyland and nearby attractions. It's also known as John Wayne Airport and the airport got its airport code SNA from the nearby town of Santa Ana.
